For All Daughters began with the way carrying a briefcase made me feel.
For years, I carried a vintage briefcase into meetings, presentations and important rooms. It wasn’t particularly luxurious, and it certainly wasn’t designed for women. But when I carried it, I felt different — more prepared, more visible, more certain of my place there.
People noticed it too.
It made me question why an object so closely associated with professional authority had never truly been reimagined for women.
For All Daughters was created from that question: a briefcase designed for women to carry with confidence, purpose and presence, and one day, perhaps, to carry forward.
the origin of our name
The name For All Daughters draws from the Irish surname prefix “Ní”, meaning “daughter of”
In Gaelic, Ní means “daughter of” ; a mark of lineage, heritage and belonging.
This simple word captures the essence of the brand: a celebration of every woman’s story, her roots, and the generations that shaped her.
Our monogram carries the 'Ní' symbol inside every briefcase, a quiet signature of identity and strength, made for women who are redefining legacy in their own right.

Each briefcase is adorned with a bespoke jacquard fabric, designed in Ireland and woven in Italy.
Its intricate motif is inspired by Irish plants and flowers found throughout the Island of Ireland; each chosen for its symbolism of strength, renewal, and creativity.
These plants represent the women who carry our pieces: resilient, thriving in challenging environments, and marked by a quiet grace.

The Founder’s Story
For All Daughters was founded by Gemma Ní Maoltuile, inspired by her own experience in business, carrying a vintage briefcase. It wasn’t luxury, but it made her feel extraordinary in professional settings, like armour. It prepared her for boardrooms, reflected that she had something to say, and sparked curiosity and conversations wherever she went. Carrying it required bravery, but it gave her confidence.
Gemma realised that more women deserved this feeling, yet nothing on the shelves reflected it. So she set out to reimagine the briefcase: not as a fashion item, but as a lifestyle companion. Something timeless, designed to transcend trends and to be cherished, admired, and passed on like an heirloom, evoking nostalgia for generations to come.
At the heart of her vision was a desire to create an inherently Irish brand, one that quietly carries its heritage through thoughtful detail. Every design decision, from structure to fabric, reflects the stories and symbolism of Ireland, reimagined for the modern woman
